One thing I love about what I do is the fact that I get to meet and photograph so many strong, powerful, beautiful and unique women. Women are amazing and I am so thankful that I get to see a time where society is slowly allowing us to be who and what we want to be.
I was raised in a non-traditional family, my mom didn’t really like to cook and clean and she wasn’t into makeup or clothes. She loved being outside working with her hands and being with her animals. Although she got a lot of shit from family members/friends for not being a “traditional mom”, she never changed and I admire that. She taught me that just because I am a woman doesn’t mean I have to be the “typical women”, it means I could be opinionated without feeling like I was being “unladylike” or “crazy”. She taught me that I could be whoever I wanted to be and do whatever I wanted to do, that there is no boundaries just because I am a woman.
I feel so blessed to also have some of the most amazing and strong women in my life who inspire me everyday. So many of them own their own businesses, some of them in a male driven industry. Some are the most amazing moms, whether they work or stay home to do the one of the most important jobs on this planet. Seriously ladies, each and everyone of you inspire me in so many ways!

This Montana portrait session from this past summer was by far one of my favorites! We started off the session with April just wanting to do a few shots putting her feet in the water which turned into a full on in-the-water session! I don’t think I need to say anything more, just take a look at this badass women’s session!
